assalamualaikum... its raining diz evening... im already back from Giant... buyin' my favourite snack, KEN, brand of SNEK KU... most important thing, the 'halal' label is about 20 cents in size!!!! but to my surprise, the codes used for the permitted colouring begin wif E...(E110 and E102) and it is a replacement for PIG FAT!!!!!.
One of friend of mine send me a message containing all the codes for all the food that contain pig fat. then i tried to check 'em at Persatuan Pengguna Islam Malaysia (PPIM) website and its true!!! so, by any means, i decided to give da un'halal' snack to Charlene... i dun care my lost rm 3.20 to Giant... its still haram, man!
If any products has been listed with these codes please do not buy them since the source of fat is PIG FAT. Therefore, it is good if every Muslims are to remember these codes (and beat those unscrupulous capitalist at their own game).
